After working 8 years in the investment banking industry for several global firms, I felt a change was needed and was presented an opportunity to shift gears into pharmaceutical marketing, which I knew absolutely nothing about. I was nervous and reluctant to accept the position out of fear of the unknown, but again I took another leap of faith and jumped in head first. There was a slightly challenging learning curve, but what I gained in knowledge and skill in those first few months set me up for a successful future in that industry for another 17 years. I learned valuable project management skills which have allowed me to realistically assess deadlines and timing for any project, personal or professional. I grew into management and director positions heading up small teams which allowed me to improve my EQ and communication skills and more importantly, compassion for others, regardless of their titles.
I also had several wonderful freelance opportunities to work with a friend of a friend in need of a total overhaul of her boutique hotel chain’s sales presentations. This was the most joy-filled project for me because I was able to freely design within their already beautiful presentation template and truly stretch my creativity to places I had never known even existed. I am still grateful to this day for that experience.
Now, after 25 years of presentation design experience, I have become an independent consultant helping anyone in need of converting text, data, and figures into memorable graphics and beautiful visuals for personal or professional audiences.
Is it time for a refresh of an existing presentation or is there a need for a brand new visualization of data and information for a sales meeting or business pitch? If this is you, I am here to help.
